Ingredients
4 pears
125 g Saint Agur
200 ml grape juice (light)
200 ml white wine
1 tsp turmeric (ground)
1 star anise
1 stick of cinnamon
1 clove
20 g hazelnuts (chopped)
some redcurrants for garnish
Method
For the poached spiced pear with blue cheese, peel the fruits with a peeler, cut in half and remove the core. Add the grape juice, white wine and spices to a saucepan and stir well. Bring the sauce to a boil and add the pear halves. Put the lid on, remove the pan from the heat and let it cool for about 20 minutes.
Place the poached pear halves on a plate. Dice the Saint Agur and place in the middle of the halves.
Toast chopped hazelnuts in a frying pan until golden brown and sprinkle them on top of the stuffed pear with blue cheese. Garnish with a few redcurrants.
